The IJA Online Model Dog Creative Styling Competition
Anything and Everything Goes!
Create objects, design places, and holiday themes. Create real-life and imaginary animals and beautiful gardens from around the world. Compete with all model dogs’ colors and add on attachments you need to create the most wow presentation in a model dog class!
Class 1: Abstract Lines, Shapes, Swirls, Objects, Places, People, Holiday Themes
Class 2: Animal Instincts Real and Imaginary
Class 3: Gardens Jungle, Desert, African Plains, Flowers, Bird, Bees, Tropical - Under the Sea
Class 4: Creative Free Style, Poodle Asian Fusion, Curly Coat Asian Fusion, Drop Coat Asian Fusion, Curly Coat with Bands, All Other (if your design doesn't fit into the other options).
The VWGC championship events are conducted by IJA four times a year. The Best in Class and Best in Show finalists from the spring, summer, fall, and winter sessions are finalists for Best in the World in Pure Breed Trim Styles. Winners announced at the IJA TOP DOG Virtual Awards event in December.
Individual Entry
The Best MODEL DOG ARTIST in Creative Trims in the Show!

The individual competitor can compete in one or all classes to win Best in Show Creative Styling with Model Dogs.

The individual competitor may submit more than one entry in a class to be eligible for the Best in Show in Creative Stylin on Model Dogs.
The Best All-Around MODEL DOG ARTIST IN SHOW IN CREATIVE TRIMS
To be eligible for Best All-Around in Show in Creative Trim Styles, the individual competitor must compete in all three creative classes.

The individual competitor may submit more than one entry in the trim style categories to achieve a first, second, or third placement to be eligible for the show’s Best All-Around. The highest placements are utilized from each class to calculate the Best All-Around competitor in the show for model dogs.

Type of Model Dog and Wig
All types of model dogs are allowed in online competitions. It is the responsibility of the competitor to choose the best to achieve the best results.
Prep Procedures Allowed
Tools, glue guns, and materials to change the head, ear, body, leg, feet, and tail types can create real-life and fantasy expressions and profiles.

Head and neck may be re-set to create proper length.

Eyes may be replaced and reset to create pra oper eye set and expression.

Ears may be re-set or modified to create the correct ear set and carriage.

Body modified to create the correct body type for the animal, creature, or thing.
-
Legs shortened or lengthened to achieve the body structure.

Tail reset or modified to achieve the correct silhouette.

Wire and other material to change or create different ears, tails, legs, wings, and everything is permitted.

Full color is encouraged to enhance overall expression, profile, and creative design. Color to create a more real-life image or imaginary animal, bird, creature, or thing. Example: Coat color is correct for the Zebra or specific flowers.
Decorative Items

All types of decorative items are allowed to enhance the overall creative creation.
Additional Wigs

Model dog coat banded to create extensions to create length and volume permitted.

COMPETITORS PRESENTATION AFTER COMPETITION

Competitors must remove all hair, products, and tools from the table and place table covering for judging.
