Janice started her grooming career in 1966 after rescuing a Standard Poodle that had never been groomed and no one would groom! She was one of the first certified master groomers in Ohio. Breeding and showing American Cocker Spaniels then became a wonderful part of her life, finishing more than 35 conformation champions and other disciplines. When not involved in grooming activities and running her grooming business, she loves to travel with her husband, Dan and spending time with her family.

Janice competed and won her first best in show with her first homebred Cocker champion. Education is her ongoing passion doing demonstrations, videos, live broadcasts, seminars, and demonstrations. One of her favorite lectures and demonstrations is the Cocker Spaniel.

Janice has been a contest manager, show manager, ring steward and rescue grooming contest organizer. She has served as technical editor of Grooming for Dummies, written and edited grooming articles. She is a sanctioned USA judge, IJA judge, and a Certifier for IPG.

Janice has judged and been IJA Rescue Dog Coordinator for 3 IJA Rescue Me shows since 2013 and helped IJA Launch the FIRST IJA RESCUE ME IN NOVEMBER 2013 IN PITTSBURGH.

She has judged Best In Show Winners and judges numerous other grooming competitions in the USA, such as Super Zoo and Hershey.
