Member Competitor Oath

I accept the position of an IJA Contestant and in doing so will represent the art of competing with professionalism and dignity at all times. 

 

I acknowledge that the continued success of the IJA competition arena depends upon my knowledge, skill, and capacity for professionalism, consistency, and unity and so agree to adopt the standards, policies, and procedures of the IJA, in method, instruction, and practice. 

 

In addition, I promise to: 

 

  • Conduct my role as an IJA Contestant with integrity and dignity, regarding people and dogs with courtesy, respect, patience, and compassion. 

​

  • Forward the IJA goal of setting the standard in dog grooming competitions. 

​

  • Uphold the IJA standard in the presentation by modeling a professional image at all times. 

​

  • Provide mentorship and support for novice IJA contestants,  future IJA contestants,  as well as other grooming professionals. 

​

  • Practice gentle handling techniques with people and dogs. 

​

  • To maintain my position as an IJA contestant,  I must maintain my professionalism at all times.

Members receive 5% on all Nash System Online Education Courses.

Members receive 1 competition entry per year as an IJA Member.
