Class Awards
The judging panel will choose a first, second and third placement for each class in each level.
Best in Show Award in Level
The first place winner from each class in Level 1 will become a finalist for the title "Best in Level."
The first place winner from each class in Level 2 will become a finalist for the title "Best in Level."
The first place winner from each class in Level 3 will become a finalist for the title "Best in Level."
Best All Around Groomer Award
The best all around groomer title is presented to a contestant in each level.
In order to be eligible for the best all around groomer award, the contestant must enter a minimum of 3 classes. The Creative Styling, Winners Circle and Model Dog Classes are not included for the Best All Around Groomer Award.
The Best All Around Groomer Award is presented to the contestant with the highest score in each level.
#1 Tie Breaker:
The contestant with the highest number of class placements. Three third placements (3 points) will beat one first placement (3 points).
#2 Tie Breaker:
The contestant with the highest number of contestants defeated. The number of contestants in each class are added together from the classes that the competitor placed in.
Points will be tabulated as follows:
First Place: 3 points
Second Place: 2 points
Third Place: 1 point

Presentation of awards with less than 4 contestants in the ring is as follows:
If there is one contestant in the class, a first placement will be awarded.
If there are two contestants in the class, a first and second placement will be awarded.
If there are three contestants in the class, a first, second and third placement will be awarded.
All first place award winners from each class are eligible for the Best in Show Title & Award for each Level.
Withholding Awards
Contestants with a Technical, Profile and/or Difficulty Score of less than 1.0 will not receive an award in a class.
Judging Considerations
Technical
Based on quality of technical finish and application including clippering, scissoring, thinning, handstripping, plucking and carding.
Profile
Based on breed profile, balance, symmetry, style and pizzazz.
Difficulty
Based on degree of difficulty, including length of coat, fault correction and size of dog. |
